Saturday we picked our winner from our first subscriber contest! It was an exciting moment for us and we can't wait to mail her the prizes. Stay tuned for future contests.
This week our spotlight is on Heidi Deming who coordinates both community outreach and classes at expo.
How long have you been a crafter?
How did you get started?
The credit goes to my mother-in-law, bless her heart! Who knew that a Christmas gift could develop into such a blessing and journey!
What was your first project?
Well, my first scrapbook page was of my husband and I in our dating days. It was quite the project!
What is your favorite type of projects now? (Albums, cards, mixed media, art journals, coloring etc.)
I love making cards, but lately have done some albums that have been fun. My latest adventure is in heat transfer vinyl.
Do you listen to music while you craft? If so, which genre?
If so, which genre? YES! It's a must. Mostly I like good ole rock 'n roll and 80's hair bands!
What part of crafting is the most intimidating?
Organizing my idea and figuring out how I'm going to execute it.
Do you pre-plan your projects or do you get inspired as you go?
I'm a planner and I dislike wasting materials
Do you clean your craft table after every project?
Yes! I need a clean slate.
Have you ever sold your projects? If so, where can we find your work?
Yes, but not on purpose. Mostly, I make projects as gifts for family members and friends.
If you were given the chance to pick 3 products in any craft store where money was no object, what 3 things would you choose?
Anything Cricut! My cutter is the backbone of my crafting. Vinyl and images to use in Design Space for my Cricut.
What do you do outside of crafting? Other hobbies/interests/accomplishments?
Scrapbooking has become a bit of a ministry to me. I enjoy making scrapbook pages to donate to a local charity. I volunteer to help with my kids' activities as I am available, and I love a good book!
Favorite Topic: (Vacations, Children/Baby, Disney, etc)
Vacations albums are my most favorite since I'm captivating memories of my family for years to come.
